Beastly Feast

When you’re out in the late hours of the night, sometimes one will indulge in a slice of pie. Pizza that is.  I happen to discover this wonderful gem of many years in the East Village, Viva Herbal Pizza.  For meat-lovers, it is likely that forget you’re having a meatless pizza, but trust me, you will not realize that you’re having a slice from their selection of vegetarian, vegan, kosher, and/or gluten free pizza slices.  It’s ridiculously difficult to create the perfect brown rice vegan and gluten free crust!  Trust me, it’s not easy.  So, Viva has been able to do that, the guy that rings you up, shared with me that it took 11 years to perfect that sort of crust which I enjoy so much.  It’s the right NYC style crust that is very crunchy.

I often order this pizza shown in the photo, the gluten-free brown rice crispy thin pizza crust with Diaya vegan cheese and broccoli perfectly cooked.

This place also has a small selection of pastas, salads, and desserts!
